Boys Varsity Ice Hockey

Matt Wiedenhoeft is the Head Coach of the Kenowa Hills Varsity hockey team. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to the program, after spending the past 4 seasons with the Grand Valley State University DIII Men's team. Coach Wiedenhoeft has spent over 10 years coaching at the Junior A, College, & Minor-Professional levels. He also works with his son's youth team. Prior to coaching, Matt Wiedenhoeft spent 3 seasons at MCC playing college hockey, where he was a member of the 2003 National Championship team. He continued his career at the A & AA minor-professional level; as well as, playing professional inline hockey at the highest levels.

Matt is the Co-Founder/President of the National Roller Hockey League, an adjunct professor at Davenport University & Grand Valley State University and President of PALANO Sports Consulting. Matt sits on the St. Mary's - Spring Lake school board. Matt possesses two college degrees: MBA - Strategic Management & BBA - Accounting.

Coach Wiedenhoeft & wife Marie have 6 children combined; 3 each. Matt's kids: Landon (16), Noelle (14), Paxton (10) & Marie’s kids: Ryan (12), Katie (9), Natalie (7).   The Wiedenhoeft family resides in Hudsonville, MI; with 3 kids at Hudsonville Public, Paxton at St. Mary's Catholic School & the oldest 2 at Spring Lake High School.
