The Knights played the best game off their season tonight against the Rockets in a battle of wills. Junior standout Taylor Buskard tied the game up just 7 minutes in off the top post after a long assist by captain junior Kaylyn Holtrop. Finding themselves down 1-3 at half, the Knights bravely fought back, quickly, with another assist from Kaylyn to Taylor, and an unassisted goal from Kaylyn Holtrop from 30 yards., cutting the score to 3-4. Kaylyn continued to dominate the midfield serving ball after ball over the top, but the Rockets capitalized on late opportunities to seal the hard fought game. Centerback Captain Sammie Elderkin blocked over 8 shots, combined with senior Keeper Alexis Le Mire, who had 10 saves, and both kept the Knights alive and fighting until the end.
