JENISON HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The varsity volleyball team opened up conference play with an exciting match against Jenison despite their 0-3 loss. Leading the Knights on offense were Macey Sevigny and Abby Chapman with one ace each. Gracyn DeMann crushed the ball for 3 kills, followed by Anna Steenland and Anna Longcore with 2 kills apiece. Autumn Cole set the ball up for 6 assists, and Abby added 2. On the defensive end, Macey dug up the ball 10 times followed closely by Anna Longcore with 9. At the net, Shelby Porter and Gracyn each stuffed the Wildcats 4 times. The Lady Knights will travel to Union next Tuesday for their next competition.
