Kenowa Hills Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Grand Rapids Catholic Central

Kenowa Hills defeated Grand Rapids Catholic Central 7-5 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five with Kenowa Hills batting in the top of the seventh when Evan Breuker singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The Knights earned the victory despite allowing Grand Rapids Catholic Central to score five runs in the third inning. Bates and Schoenborn all drove in runs in the frame.  Kenowa Hills got things moving in the first inning with a Dylan Nguyen single.

Kenowa Hills put up four runs in the fourth inning lead by a single by Justin Stulpe and an error on a ball put in play by Jaiden Acker.

Trevin Laming got the start for Kenowa Hills. The righthander allowed six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.  Kuzner was on the pitcher's mound for Grand Rapids Catholic Central. undefined surrendered seven runs on 11 hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.

Kenowa Hills totaled 11 hits. Laming, Breuker, and Stulpe all managed multiple hits for the Knights. Laming led the wayKenow with three hits in four at bats.
