#8 Kenowa Hills Hosted #12 Eaton Rapids Friday at Kenowa Hills

In the first game Kenowa Hills sailed to an easy victory over Eaton Rapids 10-1 on Friday. In the first inning, Eaton Rapids got their offense started when Sebastian Nelson grounded out, scoring one run. But in the bottom of the third inning, Kenowa Hills tied things up at one. The Knights scored one run when Dylan Nguyen singled, then pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jaiden Acker singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Jack Kubiak drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nguyen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Gibson Ouellette was credited with the victory for Kenowa Hills. The lefthander allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out five. Nguyen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Trey Acker took the loss for Eaton Rapids. The hurler allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one.

Kenowa Hills Knights Varsity racked up 13 hits. Nolan ThayerAckerJoey HysellNguyen, and Trevin Laming each collected multiple hits for The Knights.  Garrett Williams led Eaton Rapids with two hits in three at bats.

In the second game Kenowa Hills lost the lead late in a 5-3 defeat to the Greyhounds. The game was tied at two with Eaton Rapids batting in the top of the fourth when Chase Carlson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.  The Knights lost despite out-hitting Eaton Rapids six to three.  Kenowa Hills got things moving in the first inning. Justin Stulpe drove in one when Stulpe singled.  

Braylon Nobach earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Eaton Rapids. The hurler went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out seven.  John Green was on the pitcher's mound for Kenowa Hills. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out five. Joey Hysell and Kaden Byrne entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Kenowa Hills racked up six hits. Dylan Nguyen and Trevin Laming each collected multiple hits for the Knights.  Nguyen led Kenowa Hills Knights Varsity with three hits in three at bats.

The game was ended after 5 innings because of darkness and gave Kenowa Hills its first loss of the season to push their record to 16-1 on the season.
