Barrett Throws Shutout As Kenowa Hills Knights Varsity Defeats Ottawa Hills
Max Barrett threw a gem on Thursday for Kenowa Hills, allowing zero runs and besting Ottawa Hills by a score of 24-0. Barrett also collected four hits in four at bats to help lead the Knights at the plate. Barrett doubled in the first, singled twice in the second, and singled again in the third.
Kenowa Hills put up 13 runs in the second inning. Evan Breuker, Joey Hysell, Jaiden Acker, Barrett, Trevin Laming, and Dylan Nguyen each drove in runs during the inning.
Barrett was the winning pitcher for Kenowa Hills. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out four and walking one.
Kenowa Hills racked up 22 hits on the day. Barrett, Breuker, Gerrit Nickel, Jack Kubiak, Gibson Ouellette, and Hysell each racked up multiple hits for the Knights. The Knights also didn't commit a single error in the field. Colin Hoatlin had three chances in the field, the most on the team.
