Kenowa Hills Baseball takes 2 from Oakridge 5-4 and 6-5.

In the first game, Kenowa Hills snagged a late lead and defeated Oakridge 5-4 on Monday. The game was tied at four with Kenowa Hills batting in the top of the sixth when Trevin Laming tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.  Oakridge scored three runs in the fifth inning, but the Knights still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Oakridge came thanks to singles by WeverJennings, and Jozsa.  In the bottom of the fifth inning, Oakridge tied things up at four when Jozsa singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Luke Hendricks was on the mound for Kenowa Hills. The pitcher went four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking one.  Jozsa started the game for Oakridge. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing five runs on ten hits and striking out nine.

Kenowa Hills collected ten hits on the day. Laming and Justin Stulpe each racked up multiple hits for Kenowa HillsLaming went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Knihgts in hits.  Oakridge saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. WeverFowlerJennings, and Vanderputte all had multiple hits for Oakridge. Wever led Oakridge with three hits in four at bats.

In the second game, Kenowa Hills got out to a four-run lead in the seventh inning and held on for a 6-5 victory over Oakridge. Oakridge scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Oainski and a single by Vanderputte, but Kenowa Hills still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Oakridge came thanks to singles by Oainski and Vanderputte

John Green led things off on the hill for Kenowa HillsGreen went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out two.

Dylan Nguyen went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Knights in hits. Kenowa Hills was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Gerrit Nickel made the most plays with four.

Oakridge totaled seven hits in the game. Jennings and Vanderputte all collected multiple hits for Oakridge. Jennings led Oakridge with three hits in three at bats.
