Kenowa Hills Loses lead and game 7-6 in the District Final to Reeths-Puffer

In the semi final game, Kenowa Hills blew out Grand Haven 9-1 on Saturday.

Kenowa Hills got things started in the first inning. Justin Stulpe drove in two when he doubled in the left center gap.  The Knights then scored three runs in the seventh inning. Jaiden Acker had an RBI triple in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Evan Breuker was credited with the victory for Kenowa Hills. The lefthander went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out eight and walking zero. Tithof took the loss for Grand Haven. The hurler surrendered six runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

Kenowa Hills totaled 13 hits in the game. AckerDylan NguyenTrevin Laming, and Stulpe each collected multiple hits for the Knights.

In the final, Kenowa Hills fell 7-6 to Reeths-Puffer on Saturday despite four RBIs from Jaiden AckerAcker drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the fourth.  Kenowa Hills  collected nine hits and Reeths-Puffer had eight in the high-scoring affair.  Reeths-Puffer pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Reeths-Puffer got a couple runs on a couple of errors by the Knights, and Kaden Edwards singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring another run.

Brody Panozzo got the win for Reeths-Puffer. The ace allowed six hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one.  Justin Stulpe took the loss for Kenowa Hills. The righty surrendered seven runs on six hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero.  Jaxson Whitaker started the game for Reeths-Puffer. Whitaker allowed three hits and three runs over two and a third innings, striking out one

Kenowa Hills totaled nine hits in the game. Acker and Joey Hysell both had two hits to lead the Knights.  Reeths-Puffer scattered eight hits in the game. EdwardsAlex Orchard, and Kyle Schlaff each collected multiple hits for Reeths-Puffer.
