The Knights took the battle to Fruitport today, showing great defensive poise and discipline while holding the Trojans to only 2 goals and very few scoring opportunities. In the second half, the Knights came out with a fury, stringing together multiple, dangerous scoring opportunities against the Trojans against a talented keeper that denied what seemed to be certain goals. With a short bench, the Knights continued to win balls and press forward as one unit. Freshman Lily McCarthy scored the lone goal after beating several defenders to knock the ball in the back of the net. Keeper Sonnet Yancey logged a season high 22 saves.
