MONA SHORES HIGH SCHOOL: 3
Game 1 saw Evan Breuker throw 6 2/3 innings giving up just 1 earned run while Striking Out 4 to get the win for the Knights. The game was highlighted by a 5 run 3rd inning for Kenowa Hills with RBI singles from Breuker, Gibson Sposaro, Brock Borkowski, and Jack Kubiak. Kubiak lead the way with 3 hits for Kenowa Hills and Sposaro, Breuker, and Gabe Schoenborn add 2 each.
In Game 2 the Knights got off to a slow start spotting Mona Shores 5 runs in the first 2 innings. Tristan Hysell then held the Sailors scoreless over the final 4 1/3 innings in relief. The Knights bats could only get 2 runs across as they fell 5-2 in the nightcap.
The 2 teams meet up at Kenowa Hills for the final game of the 3 game series Thursday at 4:15.
