Kenowa Hills Knights Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Kenowa Hills Knights watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-3 loss to South Christian on Thursday. South Christian scored on a error in the first inning, a single by Alex Edson in the second inning, and a stolen base by Ross Boomsma in the second inning.

Kenowa Hills Knights lost despite out-hitting South Christian ten to eight. South Christian scored three runs in the fifth inning. Ty Oetman and Aidan Fennema all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Fennema was on the hill for South Christian. The ace allowed eight hits and three runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Gibson Ouellette was on the pitcher's mound for the Knights. The southpaw allowed seven hits and eight runs over four and a third innings, striking out two. Joey Hysell threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Kenowa Hills tallied ten hits in the game. Trevin Laming, Justin Stulpe, and Ouellette all managed multiple hits. Laming led Kenowa Hills with three hits in three at bats.  South Christian racked up eight hits. Edson and Jake Dehaan each had multiple hits for South Christian.
