Kenowa Hills Beats Grand Rapids Catholic Central 8-1, 7-2 in a Double Header Tuesday

Kenowa Hills got things started in the first inning when Evan Breuker singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. The Knights then notched four runs in the sixth inning. Kenowa Hills batters contributing to the big inning included Dylan Nguyen, Justin Stulpe, Joey Hysell, and Nick Thayer, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Stulpe led things off on the hill for the Knights. The righty allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six.

Kenowa Hills tallied 14 hits. Breuker, Trevin Laming, Hysell, Nguyen, and Nolan Thayer all had multiple hits for the Knights. Laming and Breuker both had three hits to lead Kenowa Hills.

In the second game Kenowa Hills got their offense started in the first inning again. Dylan Nguyen's sac fly scored one run for the Knights.

Joey Klap led things off on the mound for Kenowa Hills. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Kenowa Hills Knights Varsity scattered nine hits in the game. Joey Hysell and Trevin Laming both managed multiple hits for the Knights. Hysell went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead them in hits.

Kenowa Hills improves to 16-6 on the season and 10-4 in conference play.
