Kenowa Hills Loses a pair of close games to Cedar Springs on Tuesday

In the first game of the double header pitchers for both teams Duel In Low-Scoring Affair, as Kenowa Hills  Falls To Cedar Springs

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Tuesday, but Cedar Springs was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the Knights in game one. Gibson Ouellette started the game for Kenowa Hills and recorded  all 18 outs.

Knauf was on the pitcher's mound for Cedar Springs. The bulldog surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Ouellette led things off on the hill for Kenowa Hills and  surrendered three runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three.

Nick Thayer, Max Barrett, Joey Hysell, Justin Stulpe, Dylan Nguyen, and Jaiden Acker each collected one hit to lead Kenowa Hills.

More of the same in game 2 as a walk-off left Kenowa Hills on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat to Cedar Springs. The game was tied at one with Cedar Springs batting in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run for Cedar Springs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Cedar Springs pitchers struck out 11, while Kenowa Hills  sat down five.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Cedar Springs tied things up at one. Greenland drove in one when Greenland singled. Snoeyink led things off on the mound for Cedar Springs. The pitcher surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out eight. Trevin Laming was on the mound for Kenowa Hills. Laming allowed ten hits and two runs over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one.

Laming also went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Kenowa Hills in hits. Cedar Springs had ten hits in the game. Snoeyink, Greenland, and Campione each had multiple hits for Cedar Springs.
