Kenowa Hills Falls To Grandville After Sixth Inning Score

Kenowa Hills lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to Grandville on Tuesday. The game was tied at six with Grandville batting in the bottom of the sixth when Verburg hit a solo homer.

Despite the loss, Kenowa Hills did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Grandville had ten hits on the way to victory.  Grandville got on the board in the first inning. LaCroix drove in two when LaCroix doubled.

Dukesherer was on the pitcher's mound for Grandville. The hurler allowed six hits and six runs over five and a third innings, striking out two. Justin Stulpe was on the mound for Kenowa Hills. Stulpe allowed six hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Evan Breuker threw three innings in relief.

Kenowa Hills smacked one home run on the day as well when Stulpe put one out in the fourth inning.  Kenowa Hills totaled nine hits in the game. Breuker, Gibson Ouellette, and Nick Thayer all managed multiple hits for Kenowa Hills. Thayer, Ouellette, and Breuker each collected two hits to lead the Knights.

Grandville racked up ten hits. Verburg and Smith each racked up multiple hits for Grandville. Verburg went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Grandville in hits.
