Kenowa Hills Baseball Sweeps DH from Cedar Springs 5-3, 11-2

Kenowa Hills takes the first two games of the 3 game set from Cedar Springs Wednesday. Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, Kenowa Hills still held off Cedar Springs for a 5-3 victory. .Cedar Springs scored three runs in the seventh inning, the big inning for Cedar Springs came thanks to a single by Reed and an error on a ball put in play by Vaughn.

Kenowa Hills got things started in the first inning. Dylan Nguyen drove in two when he doubled in the right center gap. NguyenJoey HysellJustin StulpeJaiden Acker, and Nolan Thayer each managed one hit to lead Kenowa Hills

Evan Breuker was on the pitcher's mound for the Knights. Breuker went six innings, allowing zero runs on seven hits and striking out nine to collect his second win of the season. Oosting was on the mound for Cedar Springs. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out five. Reed threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

In the second game, Kenowa Hills beat Cedar Springs 11-2 thanks To a Big Third Inning. The Knights knocked in seven runs in the third with Gibson OuelletteTrevin LamingJustin StulpeEvan Breuker, and Dylan Nguyen all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Kenowa Hills got things started in the first inning when Breuker singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Stulpe got the start for Kenowa Hills Knights VarsityStulpe surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three. Laming and John Green closed the final 2 innings out for the Knights.  Glyshaw started the game for Cedar Springs. The starter went two innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out six. Rocafort and Vaughn entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively. 

Kenowa Hills racked up 11 hits in the game. LamingBreuker, and Stulpe each collected multiple hits for the Knights. Laming went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Kenowa Hills Knights Varsity in hits.
