The Kenowa Hills Knights (23-3, 17-1) defeated Forest Hills Eastern (27-3, 16-2) 7-2 on Thursday to win the 3 game series and take a 1 game lead at the top of the OK Gold Conference.
Kenowa Hills got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for the Knights. Kenowa Hills tallied three more runs in the fifth inning. Joey Hysell, Jaiden Acker, and Nolan Thayer powered the big inning with RBIs.
Hysell led the Kenowa Hills to victory on the hill. Hysell went all seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking zero. Evan Parks took the loss for Forest Hills Eastern. The hurler surrendered seven runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out four.
Kenowa Hills saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Dylan Nguyen and Trevin Laming each collected multiple hits for Kenowa Hills with two hits a piece to lead the Knights.
