MONA SHORES HIGH SCHOOL: 47
The rescheduled Saturday night game against Mona Shores turned out to be a good win for the Knights, as they avenged an overtime loss from Wednesday by beating the Sailors 56-47. The Knights came out playing well on both ends, outscoring the Sailors 35-16 in the first half. Mona came out aggressive in the third and outscored the Knights 20-9, but we were able to hang on in the end by hitting important free throws. Junior Ryan Bart led the way with 20 points and 8 rebounds, followed by Senior Cam McCarthy with 14 points and 4 assists. Senior Josh Bergsma played another outstanding game defensively and chipped in 8 points. The win improves their record to 11-6 on the season, with a big three game week coming up to finish the regular season.
