After a slow start, the varsity volleyball team picked up steam and rolled to a 3-1 victory over Holland last night. Scores were 24-26, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-16. Leading the way offensively were MaKenna Joustra with 20 assists and outside hitters Hali Blik and Gracyn DeMann with 9 and 7 kills respectively. At the serving line, Macey Sevigny and MaKenna each scored 3 aces while Hali added 2. Anna Longcore helped the team with 100% serving. On the defensive side, Macey recorded 21 digs and Gracyn added 17. At the net, Laura Perrin stuffed Holland 3 times followed by MaKenna, Anna, and Gracyn with 2 blocks apiece. Great job, ladies! The next match for the Knights will be on Tuesday when they travel to Muskegon for a conference matchup.
