Last night, the Lady Knights suffered a tough 0-3 loss to the visiting Wildcats from Jenison in conference play. After a shaky start, the Knights fought back and played tough against Jenison for the remainder of the match. Leading the way for the hosts were Macey Sevigny, Madi Skinner, MaKenna Joustra, Anna Longcore, and Hali Blik with 100% serving; and Hali served up 2 aces followed by Madi and Mishelle Bergsma with 1 ace each. MaKenna set up the offense with 15 assists; Megan VanHorn tallied 8 kills while Gracyn DeMann and MaKenna each scored off 4 kills apiece. Defensively, Macey tracked the ball down for 14 digs and Gracyn added13. Anna stuffed the Wildcats 5 times, and Megan and Laura Perrin each had 4 blocks. The varsity volleyball team travels to Zeeland East on Saturday for their next competition. Go Knights!
