In OK Black Conference play against Fruitport, the Kenowa Hills varsity volleyball team fought hard throughout the match but came up short 1-3. Scores were 16-25, 25-21, 15-25, 19-25. The team served tough with Kyla Reichert, Madi Skinner, MaKenna Joustra, Mishelle Bergsma, Anna Longcore, and Gracyn DeMann all serving 100% while Anna and Macey Sevigny each scored with an ace. Macey and Mishelle led the backrow defense with 28 and 20 digs, respectively, showing some great hustle to keep the ball alive. At the net, Laura Perrin played big, stuffing the opponents 8 times followed by Gracyn with 4 blocks. Setting duties were handled by MaKenna with a season high 29 assists. Megan VanHorn led the Knights with 11 kills, followed by Gracyn with 8. Despite the loss, the Lady Knights played a great match and continue to work hard on the court. Nice job, ladies!
