The varsity volleyball team participated in Kent City's Dig Pink Tournament on Saturday, coming away with a 3rd place finish. In pool play, the Lady Knights defeated Kelloggsville, lost to Orchard View, and split with Grant. They beat Newaygo to open bracket play before losing a nail-biter to Grant in the semi-finals. The team was led defensively by Macey Sevigny with 64 digs for the day, followed by Rylee Cook with 45, Autumn Cole with 44, and Gracyn DeMann with 42. At the net Gracyn put up 14 blocks, and Ashley Crinion, Anna Steenland, and Anna Longcore all added 7 for Kenowa Hills. Autumn led the offense, setting up the hitters with 91 assists. DeMann also paced the Lady Knights' attacking with 31 kills, followed by Longcore with 26, Sevigny with 20, and Steenland with 15. At the serving line Macey dished up 7 aces, followed by Autumn and Anna Longcore with 5 each, and Rylee and Abby Chapman added 3 apiece. The Lady Knights travel to Fruitport on Tuesday for an OK Black double-dual. Go Knights!
