The Kenowa Hills Varsity Volleyball Team opened OK Gold play on Sept. 10 with an exciting match at Thornapple-Kellogg. Despite the 2-3 loss with scores of 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 21-25, 17-19, the Lady Knights started the season with some strong serving led by Autumn Cole and Laura Perrin with 2 aces apiece. 100% servers included Laura, Rylee Cook, Lucy Jennette, Austin Van Putten, Anna Longcore, Shelby Porter, and McKenna Buehler. The offensive attack was led by Shelby with 7 kills and Anna with 6, set up by Abby Chapman and Autumn with 15 and 10 assists respectively. Defensively, the Lady Knights were led by Abby with 11 digs and Rylee with 9, and at the net Laura stuffed the ball for 5 points and Shelby had 4 blocks.
