This past Saturday the varsity wrestling team traveled to Wyoming HS and went 3-1 on the day placing Runner-Up in a 10 Team Tournament!  

The team defeated Ottawa Hills, Sparta and Portage Central before losing in the final championship round to Rockford.  

Dom Cordes, Jackson Pinkelman, Fran Landero, Nate Moe and Gabe McCloskey were all undefeated 4-0 with Cadin Rose, Shofi Alom, Kadin Smith,Van Bruin, Xavier Black, Tanner Pickel and Breyden Link all contributing to the team’s success!

Leading the team coming out of winter break is Nate Moe 18-1, Fancisco Landero 17-2, Cadin Rose 16-4, Kadin Smith 13-6, Jackson Pinkelman 6-1 and Dom Cordes 10-7. Shofi Alom has 7 wins, Breyden Link 9, Trey Monroe 6, Van Bruin 5 and Gabe McCloskey with 5 wins on the season! 

The team is 6-6 overall and 2-0 Conference so far this season in dual meet competition, adding this Runner-Up finish in Tournament Competitions! 

Next competition is at home Friday 6:00pm vs Belding and Lee.
