17 Brave Knights Battle at Hopkins!

There are strengths in numbers and when a team unit comes together on a field of battle it gives everyone the confidence, courage and the bravery to face any opponent without fear!  Without fear one wrestler was able to rise to the top of the podium!  

Sophomore Nate Moe used the support of his teammates to give him the desire to perform his very best, going 5-0 to reap the reward of standing alone atop of the 145# bracket representing his team, The Mighty Knights!

17 Knight Wrestlers competed at the VARSITY level in the Hopkins Invitational this past Saturday! 

The team posted 197.0 total points to finish 5th, after leading several moments throughout the competition. Junior Cadin Rose (171#) and Senior Francisco Landero (135#) both placed 3rd going 4-1.  Freshman Gabe McCloskey (152#), and Shofi Alom (119#) took 4th; Sophomore Jackson Pinkleman (103#), Dom Cordes (160#) and Freshman Aiden Kilbourn ((119#) all took 5th place. Kayden Smith took 7th at 130# while Trey Monroe took 9th at 171#.  Aisia Jennings (112#), Van Bruin (103#), Natalie McCune (130#), Breyden Links (135#), Jasmin Doubblestien (152#), Alexis Gerth (189#) and Shawn Hall (215#) all wrestled 5 matches each on varsity!

Nate Moe improves to 27-1 on the season, Francisco Landero is 23-5, Cadin Rose 22-5, Jackson Pinkelman is 12-3, Dom Cordes 17-8, Kayden Smith 17-11 and Gabe McCloskey is 11-6. 

The Varsity Wrestling Team is currently 8-8 on the season and travel to Comstock Park this Wednesday to compete with Grand Rapids Union and Allendale!
